The Oregonian’s 2017 Top 100 Workplaces

TerraFirma Foundation Systems has been voted as one of The Oregonian’s Top 100 Workplaces for 2017.

In 2000, at the age of 24, Ryan Beckley had already established a thriving construction company in Roseburg, OR. The driving force for starting TerraFirma came from Ryan’s experience in purchasing his first home. He stumbled upon a beautiful home in a desirable neighborhood, seemingly priced below market value. However, upon closer inspection, Ryan discovered that the property had a foundation settlement issue, rendering it difficult to sell despite its prime location. Driven by his determined spirit, Ryan saw an opportunity to rectify the situation and bought the house. Through thorough research and education on deep foundation repairs, Ryan realized the urgent demand for similar services and solutions among local homeowners and business owners.

Now operating with nearly 200 employees across three sites in Oregon and Washington, TerraFirma excels not only in keeping homes safe, dry, and stable with its diverse range of residential and commercial services but also in fostering an exceptional work culture at each location.

One individual whom Beckley holds in high regard is a 24-year-old man who, in his teenage years, faced challenges at home and barely graduated high school. When this young man approached Beckley seeking employment, he was given an opportunity. This decision has proven to be a wise investment: over the past six years, he has diligently acquired new skills, paving the way for increased earnings within the company. Presently, he is married, a homeowner, and has been consistently earning a salary of at least $100,000 annually for the past four years.

Ryan hopes that the individuals selected by him and his managers to remain part of the TerraFirma team, which is why the company will always prioritize career progression within its work culture.
