Basement Waterproofing in Oregon – Pre-Construction Waterproofing System

It’s hard to tell looking at this picture, but this is the foundation of a home being built. My guess is that this is not what the home builders or home buyers had in mind. Essentially before the home is even built and has a family to enjoy it, there is early development of foundation settlement and obvious waterproofing issues. There is a solution though.

Feed line

The original feed drain line will connect with our Waterguard and sump pump system. This way we can be sure that water is properly being collected and directed to a means of removal.

Waterguard installed

Phase one in this waterproofing project is to install Waterguard on top of the foundation footing and fasten it to the cement. Advantages of having the waterproofing system installed pre-construction is that it is cheaper and less destructive than if we were to go in post-construction. A cement slab or vizqueen liner will be installed on top to give this crawl space a nice finished look.
